Steps

While trying to learn other techniques sometimes I have to return to something that I already like and enjoy just to get some of my joy back. Here are two paintings in progress, both being started with a green verdaccio-esque underpainting.

Last time I attempted this using white/terre vert/ivory black. This time around I learned my lesson and am using chromium oxide green with mars black. It seems to be working better and giving me more opacity.
