Human nature obligates us to label in order to process...such a bizarre trait we have. In my opinion as long as you make art that WORKS, it doesn't matter what the topic is. I get it. They're poisonous, but I've resigned myself to that. I've even tried to wear gloves while painting, but I like to use my fingers too much. No affiliation; I just found their information quite useful. The brands of choice seem to be Caran d'Ache, Derwent, and/or Faber-Castell. I've never used them myself, so caveat emptor, but from all the browsing around I did it seems that of those three companies, Derwent's Coloursofts would be the ones most similar to Prismacolor's Premiers.
